In this months newsletter we write about the fallacy regarding the thickness and strength of Venetian blind slats. The misconception is that the .21 slat is stronger than the .18 slat which Sunteca uses. This seems easy to believe, as something that is thicker should naturally be stronger, but the reality is that our slat has the same tensile strength of any .21 slat on the market. We have specifically purchased special roll formers to suit our slat which we use on all our machines. This gives our slat more curvature resulting in superior strength. Read more…
